The history of The Woodlands Eatery begins in Italy – where Matteo and Mizio grew up! Both of our owners learnt how to cook from their families – particularly their grandmothers (the stereotypes run deep here). Long days spent around family while prepping meals translated into passion for good food and authentic hospitality. For the last nine years, Woodlands has been a space where they make this passion available to you.

Italian hospitality is the cornerstone of Woodlands. When you walk through our doors, you’re part of “the familia!” You’ll immediately be welcomed with warth and a laid back atmosphere, and soon filled with wine and all the best carbs Italy can bring.
About Matteo
Matteo, the owner of the Woodlands Eatery, grew up in a farming community just outside Bologna, Italy. While he was young, he needed to help care for the family farm and around the house. In particular, his grandmother – a typical fiery and firm italian woman, insisted he be capable of cooking. So. she made it her personal mission to pass on traditional Italian food knowledge and skill. Matteo’s every day was spent with family and cooking with nonna – and he loved it.

We’re located in a big red townhouse just behind the Garden’s Center Mall. We have free, guarded parking next to our building during the evenings.
